It got an updated name earlier this month and today YYC Calgary International — Canada’s third busiest airport — is celebrating the opening of its much-awaited new international terminal.
The five-story building adds about 2 million square feet — the equivalent of 34 football fields — to the airport, 24 gate areas and a state-of-the-art baggage system that offers positive bag tracking and can process 4,000 bags per hour.
